9 HOBBIES TO KEEP YOU BUSY DURING QUARANTINE OR SELF-ISOLATION!

Stuck in quarantine or in self-isolation and going nuts? Getting bored out of your mind and finding it hard to kill time? Ladies, take this time you have and use it to wisely. Focus on yourself and use this pandemic to your advantage. Come out of this pandemic feeling physically, spiritually and mentally stronger. Hobbies are a great way to mentally stay sane, keep you occupied and increase your productivity. Here are a few ideas to get you started:

COOKING

Get in-tune with your inner chef and learn some new recipes. This is the perfect time to cook up a storm and try out new dishes for you and your family. Create some tasty desserts and if you have kids, get them in on the action and let them help you out. It’s a great way to spend time together and to teach them a new skill.

ART

Pick up a paint brush and get lost in your master piece. Art is a great way to be creative, relieve stress and divert your mind from what’s going on around the world for some time.

GARDENING

Green thumb or not, try your hand at some gardening. It’s a great way to spend some time outdoors, get some fresh air and absorb some much needed vitamin D. Plant some vegetables, fruits and herbs that you’ll be able to use later on. Seeing your flowers bloom and your fruits and vegetables grow will be rewarding and satisfying.

HOME WORKOUTS

Staying home shouldn’t give you an excuse to let go of yourself physically and refrain from working  out. Make the most of the situation and stay active. There are plenty of great home workouts you can do. (I’m offering some great home workouts. Check out my Instagram page @nourishbynush) There are also some amazing yoga, zumba and cardio workouts available on YouTube. Exercising regularly will help relieve stress, strengthen your body, help you relax and keep help boost your immune system.

ONLINE COURSES

Have you ever felt like you wanted to learn something new but you just didn’t have the time? This could be your opportunity to enhance your knowledge. There are great courses available online. Coursera offers a numerous amount at no fee at all. Learn a new language or polish up your skills on something you already have knowledge on. Knowledge is power!

DANCE

Get your groove on and learn some new dance moves. Look up some videos on YouTube and learn some new choreography. Dancing to upbeat music is a brilliant way to de-stress, let loose and just have some fun! Get moving ladies!!

MUSIC

If you’ve been learning how to play a musical instrument, use this time to polish and brush up on your skills. Music can be an instant pick-me-up.

KNITTING

Learning how to knit can lead to you creating some amazing pieces. Knitting helps you focus, teaches you patience and improves your creativity. Learn how to make a scarf or knit up a sweater for you, your kids, or your loved ones.

BLOGGING

Do you love writing? Why not start a blog? This is a great way to put down your thoughts in writing and you can be as creative as you wish. The best part is that you’re in charge of what you want to write about. It can be anything. Let your creative juices flow and get to writing ladies!

Let’s get productive ladies. Take this time to invest some time in yourself and have fun while doing it! Let’s all come out of this pandemic feeling more positive than ever!
