Unconditional love is not the infatuation type of love, the co-dependant attachment, or the kind of “you complete me”. It is the creative energy. It is the source of energy. It is the energy that is breathing your breath and beating your heart. It is fulfilling. It is passionate. It is what makes life juicy and fun!
One of the ways to feel the unconditional love is through gratitude and appreciation.
“When your world moves too fast and you lose yourself in the chaos, introduce yourself to each color of the sunset. Reacquaint yourself with the earth beneath your feet. Thank the air that surrounds you with every breath you take. Find yourself in the appreciation of life.” – Christy Ann Martine
I had no idea that life could be so much better. What helped? My attitude of gratitude. My attitude of appreciating everything I always had, everything I have, and everything I keep manifesting. It has been a long journey and working on oneself never ends. I rise every day with this “Today I choose to live with gratitude for the love that fills my heart, the peace that rests within my spirit, and the voice of hope that says all things are possible”
Practicing gratitude daily shifts your mindset from negative to positive. This has been scientifically proven! It just makes you feel good.
Would you compare yourself with someone else and say, “Oh I have this, and they don’t, and I am grateful”? Does that attitude of gratitude work? No, it does not. It is about feeling grateful for what you have not what others do not. Let us not take our givens for granted. The basic needs and abilities that we are privileged to have. Let us be grateful for that. We have a roof over our heads, meals on the table, clean water, air to breathe, ability to walk. Let us be grateful for all these abilities. Have we ever looked out of the window to see how happy the less privileged people are? And why we are so unhappy? Simple – they are always grateful for what they have.
“Every time you praise something, every time you appreciate something, every time you feel good about something, you are telling the Universe, “More of this, Please.” You need never again make another verbal statement of this intent, and if you were allowing your cork to float – all good things would flow to you.”
― Abraham Hicks
Gratitude is very simple. As simple as drinking tea every day in the morning and being grateful for it. As simple as taking a walk and the sun is shining and you express your gratitude. To be grateful for being alive and kicking. Being grateful for your body because it carries you throughout the day every day! Being grateful for having clothes for different seasons and occasions. Your brain loves this attitude. The divine love this attitude. Your inner child loves this attitude. Eventually, you become aligned with your heart and soul. This opens the door to inner peace, passion, acceptance, courage, compassion, trust, and fulfillment.
When you have the awareness of how perfectly you fit into creation, how abundant your life is from the level of being, and feel grateful, your perception opens into unconditional LOVE.
Feel your gratitude deeply. Surrender to it. Let it grow. Feel gratitude, Think gratitude, Believe gratitude and Act gratefully. Just love being grateful. And let your potential awaken!
“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, and confusion into clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.” – Melody Beattie
Did you all do the exercise from last time? How did you feel? You wrote the thoughts about yourself e.g. “I am silly”; “I am wonderful” etc.
Now visualize a person who you love dearly and repeat the thoughts aloud as if you are telling them. Replace the “I” with “You” e.g. “You are silly”; “You are wonderful” etc.
Did you notice that it is easy to speak out the positive thoughts you had written about yourself because you are addressing these to someone you really love? It becomes difficult to tell someone else that “you are silly” or “you are an idiot”. You will find yourself staggering when speaking out the negative thoughts! Then why not have the same feelings for yourself? Why not love yourself no matter what?
It is a beautiful feeling to love yourself unconditionally and always be grateful. Do me a favor…. please keep a gratitude journal and write 5 things you are grateful for at the end of every day. You will be surprised at the results!
So, until we meet again love yourself unconditionally and be grateful for every little thing – even when the traffic is slow moving be grateful that you get that little time to think or admire the greenery! Every little step goes a long way………Love you all!
