We are currently doing a series of blogs empowering you to make your online presence KNOWN!
In PART 1, I gave you a few tips and tricks to make your LOGO stand out and STEP UP. I had mentioned that while you are in the design process, it is important to have a vision in mind of how you want to present your brand to your market.
What story do you want your product/service to tell? What colors, mood and angle do you want to bring out as you showcase your business? Creating a long lasting, memorable brand is essential and it all starts with using your imagination.
Having a signature look and mood across your branding will build brand recognition and consumer confidence. When a product/service comes well presented it is generally far easier to sell. Pay special attention to the finer details. Consumers are naturally attracted to things that look professional and add value to their lives. Adding a touch of your personality into your brand will also attract the right customer to you. People invest in people they trust and resonate with. You need to build your customers confidence in yourself and your brand. You brand should take on its own character that is relate-able and original.

I always like to speak from my own journey and experience. I am going to give you examples on how I am currently building a brand around MomBoss and how it has become a well know name in Kenya. For me it was important to bring aspects of my personality out. I am a real lady at my core. My inner child loves to come out to play with pastel pallets and loving quotes. Don’t worry too much who won’t resonate your vision. Be true to yourself and your brand then present it to your market.

The first step is to create a MOOD/STORY BOARD of how you want your brand to come across. If you have a look at MomBoss Kenya’s platforms you will see clear consistency around the look, feel and quality being presented. Based on appearance anyone will be able to distinguish the MomBoss brand easily since we consistently add content following the vision we created. I sit for a few hours on CANVA building content before I even begin posting. I have a clear image in my mind how things are going to look, flow and integrate together.
If you don’t yet have a Business Facebook Page you need to set one up asap. We will look a little deeper into the benefits of running a Facebook Business Page in another segment. Facebook and Instagram often have two very different markets and you need to work actively on both platforms to capture both markets.
You can use the CANVA APP to create a variety of exciting content that makes your page fun, attractive and exciting. Your LOGO needs to be visible at all times as well as all your contact info. Your page also needs to be active and happening. Consumers are likely to lose interest in a page that is not consistent with their posting. People invest time into the story you sell/tell as much as the product/service so don’t be afraid to breathe some life into your brand.
Have a look at different Instagram Profiles to see what appeals to you when it comes to girds and layout. Instagram is all about the VISUAL so your posts need to be attractive. I decided to go with a clean look and feel for the mombossmarket.space Instagram Page and this is the trend it will continue to follow. If you have a look at the grid it is attractive to the eye and creates intrigue into the brand.
I use the free app called GRID MAKER to cut my Instagram Photos. It is a fun way to make your Instagram account STAND OUT. The most important thing to remember is to keep your Instagram account clean and visually attractive. If you have a look at some Instagram Accounts you follow you can tell if someone is just random posting, creating chaos on their grid OR if they have a structure to their posting. Choose a theme and layout that ties in your LOGO, color scheme, mood and your mantra. THEN you keep on building content around that.
When deciding on a mood for your Social Media remember to stick to the same filters and fonts as far as you can. Come up with a good catch phrase and highlight it throughout. Like I mentioned in PART 1, the subconscious mind picks up on various details such as LOGOS or slogans, etc. You need to be consistent when it comes to presenting this information across to your audience.
Do NOT underestimate the importance in todays age to be aggressive and relentless in building your online presence. Online sales are the future of the economy and a far more sustainable business than having the pressure of owning a physical store in a mall. You need to think of your Business Pages as your SHOP FRONT.
How inviting is your current online presence and what can you do today to make it more attractive?
