There is no way your Marketing Strategy will be a success if you don’t take the time to clearly define your TARGET MARKET first. By this stage you should know your product well enough to figure out your audience without having to spend money on market research if you don’t have the budget. The most important thing you need to keep in mind is who will be interested in your product? Is this men or women, and how old are they? Take the time to get to know your customer’s interests and how much buying power they have, taking into consideration the current economic climate. Running surveys on your pages or interacting with your audience by engaging them on social media will help you to get a better sense of what your audience wants. Remember to always provide value to your followers.
Building a good brand and image does not have to cost you a kidney, but it is going to cost you your TIME and EFFORT. I have spoken on many occasions about how important it is in today’s market of strong competition to always come across PROFESSIONAL. Even if you have a small home-based business you can still take it up a notch by getting creative. Spend some time developing your image on social media platforms. Remember, online sales is the current way to gain your share of the market.
Make your brand unforgettable! It all begins with a good name! Take the time to research, especially if you want to have your own website. Your brand name needs to be unique, catchy, and memorable!
If I have not stressed it enough, you need to make sure you have a decent logo and that you are “branding” your social media pages full of it. There are many amazing resources and apps that can help you develop a decent brand such as CANVA (you know how much I love this by now). Spending time on doing attractive posters and advertising will go a long way in helping you to stand out.
GONE ARE THE DAYS OF POPPING UP A LOW-QUALITY IMAGE WITH LITTLE THOUGH OR EFFORT. Never forget consumers shop with their senses. How you present your product/service will go a long way in securing sales and retaining your share of the market.
It will take some time to develop your brand. Such as what color pallet you choose and how you want your look and feel to come across, etc. Once you have figured it out the most important thing is consistency.
Do you know what Search Engine Optimization is?
Dictionary Definition:
the process of maximizing the number of visitors to a particular website by ensuring that the site appears high on the list of results returned by a search engine.
“the key to getting more traffic lies in integrating content with search engine optimization and social media marketing”
Let me put this in simpler terms. The more content (and I mean quality content, not just random blogging. You need to remember the VALUE you are providing) you are producing on your website and social media pages the greater chances are that your site/pages will be picked up on search engines.
Invite others to do some guest blogging or share interesting articles from more established bloggers. This is a simple way to drive more traffic to your own website and social media pages.
